Clifford Humphrys Fellowship for Preservation of Water Quality in The Great Lakes

The Clifford Humphrys Fellowship for Preservation of Water Quality in The Great Lakes will benefit students enrolled in any graduate program at MSU studying or doing research on water quality, especially as it relates to the Great Lakes and Lake Michigan in particular. The Fellowship is intended to encourage students who have demonstrated the capacity to achieve educational and professional goals, the motivation to achieve these goals, and the initiative to seek opportunities to further their progress.

Funding Amount: 
$15,000 with potential for an increase in $5,000 per student for one year

Hazel and Karen Kiser Endowed Scholarship Fund for Returning Adult Students

Hazel and Karen Kiser Endowed Scholarship Fund for Returning Adult Students is used to award fellowships to adult students with dependents who have experienced divorce or the loss of a spouse and are returning to Michigan State University to pursue an advanced degree. Graduate Associate/Assistant Deans nominate students for this fellowship.

Hiram E. Fitzgerald Engaged Scholar Fellowship

The desire behind this Fellowship is to support students who are practitioners and/or researchers who will use the funding to learn more about a subject that will make them more effective in the area of preventing or addressing the impact of adversity in childhood. Recipients shall be MSU graduate students in any field of study who are engaged in practice and/or research that has to do with adverse childhood experiences whether or not their work is focused on children.

King-Chávez-Parks Future Faculty Fellowship Program (FFF)

Established by the Michigan Legislature in 1986 and named in honor American civil rights activists Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929-1968), César Chávez (1927-1993), and Rosa Parks (1913-2005), the King-Chávez-Parks (KCP) Initiative is comprised of seven different programs. Applications from minorities, women, people with disabilities, and individuals from cultural, linguistic, geographic, and socio-economic backgrounds who would otherwise not adequately be represented in the graduate student and faculty populations are encouraged to apply.
