For Spring Semester: Credit-No Credit Grade Reporting Option

ATTENTION:

Graduate Students, Graduate Program Directors, Graduate Program Assistants, GAADs

In an effort to support students this semester, revised Credit-No Credit (CR-NC) grade reporting options are being put in place for spring semester 2023 only. Guidelines for graduate students are outlined below. After reading the information provided on the Credit-No Credit page, please schedule an appointment with your academic advisor at some point before the end of the semester to ensure you are making the most informed choices for your individual situation.

MSU will return to the CR-NC policy listed in the Academic Programs Catalog effective summer 2023.

Graduate Student Guidelines:

  • Availability: CR-NC grade reporting options are generally available to graduate students for spring semester 2023.
  • Eligibility: Courses already being taken for Pass/No Grade (P/N) are not open to the CR-NC option. Graduate students in programs with licensure and accreditation standards need to consult with their program and departments/schools about what, if any, options are available to them.
  • IMPORTANT: Check with your advisors and graduate program directors before choosing the CR-NC option to ensure your decision aligns with your academic goals.

Be sure to check the FAQs on the Credit-No Credit page before scheduling an appointment with your academic advisor. And remember that you have until the end of the semester to make your decisions.
