Charles Collins

Charlie Collins completed his last year in the PhD program in community psychology at Michigan State University in 2012. He chose to come to MSU to study community organization. His interest in this field grew out of his observations of both his home town and the other locations he lived during his educational career. He observed the differences in individuals from different areas, and began to wonder what it was about the context in which an individual grew up that seemed to have an impact on their life as an adult. Prior to coming to MSU, Charlie earned a BA in psychology from University of California-Riverside in 2004 and an MA in psychological science from California State University-Chico in 2007. While at MSU he studied under Jennifer Watling Neal, and he served as a project assistant on the Northern Michigan and Eastern Upper Peninsula Knowledge Economy Strategies Project Co-Learning White Paper.
