Thomas D. Jeitschko

Dear Graduate Program Directors, Graduate Program Administrators and Coordinators, Graduate and Graduate-Professional Students, Postdocs, and all others who work hard to support and elevate graduate and graduate-professional education at MSU,

As this year comes to a close we can look back at an incredible record of perseverance and achievement in the face of adversity. We have overcome tremendous challenges and have worked in our many spheres across our many responsibilities to make sure that the promises of graduate and graduate-professional education remain alive and well. I am confident that we have maintained and strengthened the future of graduate and graduate-professional education at MSU and I am also confident of the bright professional and career futures of those completing their degrees and moving to their next chapters of accomplishments.

This gives me personally some consolation as I, too, will be moving on. My service as Associate Provost for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and Dean of the Graduate School ends on January 1st, while I will remain dedicated and active in support of MSU as senior associate provost. In so doing, I carry with me the insight and conviction that graduate education lies at the heart of MSU as a land-grant R1 institution and that your commitments and efforts are instrumental in shaping our future.

Thank you!

Thos.
