We were all disappointed by restrictions the pandemic imposed on us this past academic year, including its impact on our ability to hold in-person commencement ceremonies for our Master’s and PhD/EdD recipients. I am pleased to now share that plans for commencement ceremonies for September 17-19, 2021 are underway, to recognize the following graduates:
- All degree level graduates from 2020;
- Spring 2021 Master’s, Educational Specialist, and Doctoral graduates;
- All degree level graduates from Summer 2021.
Summer 2021 graduates at all degree levels will also be invited to participate in the Fall 2021 ceremonies in December, should they prefer that alternative.
All ceremonies will take place inside the Breslin Center and require tickets for entry, due to limited capacity. Click here for the schedule.
Please note that all graduate and graduate-professional students are included, including those from the College of Human Medicine and College of Osteopathic Medicine, but DOs and MDs will be recognized separately in their colleges at another time. DO and MD graduates will receive additional information from their respective college regarding those ceremonies.
Additional details will be shared as they become available, both from your college and on the Commencement website, but I wanted to share this basic information with you early, if only to assist with early planning for September.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we have navigated our way through the many challenges that the pandemic has imposed on us all. I am confident that you join me in welcoming these Breslin Center ceremonies in September – and in looking forward to celebrating the accomplishments of our graduates at that time.
Best,
