Women of Color Embodied Knowledge Forum, March 27, 2021In recognition of and in solidarity with #BlackLivesMatter and Women’s History Month, this year's forum events are centered on Black women’s embodied knowledges of movement, healing & self-expression. This forum space is intended for individuals who identify as womxn of color and our allies, particularly those who are seeking to engage in meaningful discussion, movement, and reflection, as well as imagine//materialize more just communities and spaces of learning, centered in abolitionist, anti-racist, Black feminist, and/or womanist ideology and praxis. One of the main goals of the forum is to highlight the ways women of color have been supporting themselves and their communities through their embodied knowledges, and to imagine ways that their ways of being and knowing can be intentionally included and recognized in educational spaces. The Women of Color Embodied Knowledge Forum will host 4 simultaneous virtual workshops/discussion spaces. Forum participants can choose which 1 of the 4 sessions they would like to attend using the RSVP form. This full day event is free and open to the public, but requires registration online.
