Who can you thank for their positive impact on student success, inspiring colleagues or innovating education practices?
In 2018-19, we launched MSU's "Thank an Educator" initiative on the #iteachmsu Commons to help recognize the great work the individuals across roles are doing at MSU to support student success through their contributions to the teaching and learning mission of the university. Elevating and celebrating the high impact practices of MSU educators has always been important to #iteachmsu, but the chaos of the current climate and isolation of remote work has made Thank an Educator even more vital.
With the start of November, we thought we'd remind you of an opportunity to give thanks for the MSU educators who you've witnessed make an impact. The ask is simple... Fill out the Thank an Educatorform on iteach.msu.edu to recognize an educator you know. We'll use the information provided to send them a note of gratitude via email! Thank an Educator runs year-round and can be accessed by clicking the heart icon in the left menu on iteach.msu.edu!
Educators submitted to the Thank an Educator initiative this month will be featured in the launch of the Hub's social media Thankful Thursdays. Because the Thank an Educator initiative runs year-round, you don't have to limit yourself to sharing appreciation just in November. Regular thank-you messages are sent via e-mail and conclude the year with the Educator Awards.
