The MSU Center for Community and Economic Development is seeking qualified student applicants (graduate or undergraduate) to assist with the development of a programmatic guidebook (manual) that supports practitioners, organizations, and communities to implement more equitable community and economic development initiatives.

Research Assistant’s Responsibilities

  1. Review and summary of relevant research and materials
  2. Survey and interview tool development
  3. Data collection
  4. Manual layout and design
  5. Manual review and publication
  6. Development of corresponding video resources
  7. Manual marketing and dissemination

Qualifications

The CCED is looking for creative, cutting-edge thinkers and doers with excellent research, writing and graphic design skills. Students from the social sciences, urban planning, community/economic development, community sustainability, business, and nonprofit development are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have good time management and organization skills and should be available for virtual and in-person meetings as well as capable of self-directed activities.
