Graduate Student Employee Employment Opportunity – SharePoint Developer

The College of Nursing is seeking applications for a graduate-level student to develop our SharePoint site. Reporting to the Senior Advisor to the Dean, the SharePoint Developer will directly communicate with key stakeholders across the college to understand and translate the College’s information-related infrastructure needs to then build and configure computing architectures in a multi-tier environment (O365 and SharePoint based internal sites). The ideal candidate is highly motivated, proactive, independent worker, able to multitask and adapt quickly to a changing environment.

This position is scheduled to start immediately and end on May 15, 2023, with possible continuation based on performance and funding. This is a 20 hour/week position with hours between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  1. Develop the college's SharePoint infrastructure, integrating applications and creating libraries
  2. Add users, control access to document libraries and setting permissions based on role
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve initial SharePoint issues and malfunctions
  4. Develop SharePoint support and end user training documents

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree or related field
  2. Extended in depth experience with SharePoint online integration with Microsoft 365 (M365) applications
  3. Knowledge of TypeScript/React
  4. Ability to configure SharePoint site structures and associated applications within the M365 product suite
  5. Experience with other M365 applications such as Teams, OneDrive, Lists, and Forms
  6. Experience with metadata and document libraries
  7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  8. Ability to successfully articulate technology language to a wide variety of audiences

Desired Experience

  1. Knowledge of or experience with record management processes
  2. Experience with jira, .net, JavaScript, WCF, Visual Studio
  3. Knowledge of information security
  4. General web design best practices
