Graduate Students
The Graduate Student Coordinator for SWAN is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of the student-led network focused on promoting and enhancing the health and wellbeing of students. This role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at creating a supportive and healthy environment for students to thrive. The coordinator plays a pivotal role in the success of the network and network objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Coordination
- Organize and coordinate meetings and activities, ensuring effective communication amongst network members.
- Program Development
- Support the network in collaborative program development and implementation efforts.
- Recruitment and Training
- Assist in the recruitment and training of network members.
- Arrange training sessions for network members to enhance their understanding of health and wellbeing topics.
- Data Collection and Analysis
- Collect data and feedback from network members to assess the knowledge and outcomes of member involvement.
- Create impact reports of the network’s efforts and achievements for grant completion and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a graduate program at MSU (Michigan State University).
- Strong passion for promoting student health and wellbeing.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
- Knowledge of relevant health and wellbeing resources and services.
- Prior experience in student leadership, student group coordination, or health promotion is a plus.
Time Commitment: The time commitment for this position will be no more than 10 hours per week. Typically involves regular network meetings, planning and organizing events, and ongoing communication and collaboration with network board and members, UHW (University Health and Wellbeing) and stakeholders. Position will begin January 2024.
Compensation: $23.14 Hourly
