Fellowship Opportunities in AcademicWorks

Three fellowship opportunities are available in AcademicWorks.  The applications are open from February 1 - 23, 2018.

Sandra L. Peckens and Sally A. Hood Graduate Fellowship

The Fellowship will be awarded to a graduate student[s] in good standing accepted or currently enrolled in MSU’s School of Social Work, the College of Human Medicine or the College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Hazel and Karen Kiser Scholarship Fund for Returning Adult Students

This scholarship is intended to give financial support to students who have the demonstrated capacity and maturity to achieve educational and professional goals and the initiative to seek opportunities to further their progress. To the extent allowable under applicable law, recipients shall be adult students with dependents who have experienced divorce or the loss of a spouse and are returning to Michigan State University to pursue a baccalaureate or advanced degree.

Carol and Michael LeMense Family Endowed Graduate Fellowship

This fellowship will be awarded to students at graduate levels. Applicants will have graduated from a public high school and demonstrated academic excellence in their undergraduate studies.

Applicants may be pursuing a degree in the following disciplines:

  • Education: preference to be given to those who currently teach S.T.E.M subjects (i.e. classroom teachers returning for a Masters or PhD)
  • Healthcare: this includes students in healthcare related fields, i.e., medical, nursing, pharmacy, and public health.
  • Engineering: students who are pursuing an advanced degree in bioengineering.
