ESPP Doctoral Recruiting Fellowships

The Environmental Science and Policy Program (ESPP) annually offers multiple doctoral recruiting fellowships for students who will matriculate in the next fall semester. The goal of these one-year fellowships is to attract the strongest possible cohort of students to pursue a doctoral education focused on the environment.

ESPP offers one-year fellowships to exceptional incoming doctoral students who are interested in environmental science and policy. The fellowship support includes a quarter-time RA support, full tuition for two semesters, health insurance and a stipend of approximately $25,000. In return, the fellows agree to complete the five requirements for the Environmental Science and Policy Specialization outlined here:

As a new incentive to attract strong candidates, ESPP is now offering $400 for nominated students to travel to MSU and meet with ESPP faculty, students and staff.
