Call for Graduate Student Evaluators for 2016 UURAF

The Undergraduate Research Office is seeking volunteers to provide constructive feedback to undergraduate students on their research presentations at the 2016 University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum (UURAF), on Friday, April 8th in the MSU Union. This year we have over 800 undergraduate students participating. The students have varied skill levels, but are all eager to talk about their research. UURAF consists of both oral and poster presentations in 28 different categories. Posters are presented in 90-minute blocks, 9:00 – 10:30 AM, 11:15 – 12:45 PM and 1:30-3:00 PM. Oral presentation categories roughly follow the same time frames, with each presentation lasting 10 minutes plus an additional 5 minutes allotted for questions.

As many of you will be future faculty members or research team leaders, this is an excellent opportunity for you to practice mentoring undergraduate students. We will provide you with a feedback rubric that can be used to help organize your feedback. Each volunteer will also receive a coupon for the MSU Dairy Store as a token of our appreciation.
