Call for Applications: Physical Activity and Healthy Eating Clinical Trial Intervention Delivery Fellowship

Background

This fellowship will provide a graduate student in a health-related program with the opportunity to gain experience with physical activity and healthy eating trials, including trials funded by the National Institutes of Health and foundation funding. The responsibilities in this fellowship will include participating in intervention delivery and other study-related activities, including potentially assisting with preparation for studies, recruitment activities, data collection, data entry and analysis, and preparation and dissemination of the study findings.

Dr. Lorraine Robbins will supervise the graduate student. This fellowship involves a commitment to 10 hours/week of research activities with the study teams.

Eligibility

  1. MSU graduate student in good standing who will be enrolled in the Fall of 2024 and Spring of 2025.
  2. Graduate student in a health-related program.
  3. Must have at least one open day per week (from Monday to Friday) to travel to schools for study-related activities.

The deadline for submission is June 30, 2024. The clinical trials Principal Investigator and potentially other faculty and team members will review your submitted information.

Funding of the Award

The award amount is $12,500 for part of the Academic Year, from August 16, 2024, to May 15, 2025.

Note: If you have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, then you should be aware that receipt of a fellowship, scholarship, or assistantship may reduce your eligibility for federal student loans. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid at finaid@msu.edu if you have questions. Unlike graduate assistantships, this fellowship does not provide student health insurance or tuition/fee waivers.
