Imagining America invites students enrolled at an IA member institution with an interest in public scholarship or artistic practice and activism to apply for the 2022 - 2023 PAGE and JGS Fellowships.

Publicly Active Graduate Education (PAGE) Fellows Program

Deadline: Friday, July 1

The PAGE Fellows Program invites graduate students to participate in a yearlong working group in support of collaborative art-making, teaching, writing, storytelling, and co-creating knowledge with and within community.

PAGE Fellows are artists, scientists, researchers, instigators, cultural leaders, care workers, and community activists.

PAGE Fellows will receive:

  • $500 honorarium.
  • Lodging and waived registration fee to attend the 2022 PAGE Summit on October 13 and the Imagining America National Gathering on October 14 - 16 in New Orleans, LA.
  • Opportunity to apply for professional development funds.
  • Access to year-long mentorship and community-building events within PAGE and the IA networks. These can include but are not limited to research projects, publication opportunities, and skill-building workshops.

IA/Joy of Giving Something (JGS) Fellows Program

Deadline: Friday, June 3

The IA/JGS Fellows Program provides an opportunity for undergraduate students who work with photography and/or digital media to participate in a year-long learning exchange that includes tuition support, project support, and opportunities for professional development.

The program particularly welcomes applications from first-generation college students.

JGS Fellows will receive:

  • $2,000 tuition scholarships.
  • Mentorship and financial support for a community project.
  • Complimentary registration and travel awards to attend the 2022 Imagining America National Gathering on October 14 - 16 in New Orleans, LA.
  • Access to regular, virtual learning exchanges throughout the year.
  • Connections to the consortium’s national network of scholars, artists, and community organizers.
