Subject to funding, the Asian Studies Center at Michigan State University will annually award multiple undergraduate and graduate fellowships under the Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship program funded by the U.S. Department of Education for students pursuing the study of Asian languages and Asia area studies at MSU.

Asian Studies FLAS Fellowships are awarded to students enrolled in programs combining the study of a modern Asian language with advanced training, area studies courses and/or research in an academic or professional area with an Asia focus.

*Note: The 2022-23 AY FLAS fellowships are contingent on receipt of grant funding by the MSU Asian Studies Center from the U.S. Department of Education.
