10th Annual Midwest Graduate Research Symposium

The University of Toledo Graduate Student Association (GSA) cordially invites graduate students from Michigan State University to the 10th Annual Midwest Graduate Research Symposium (MGRS) held at the University of Toledo on April 6th, 2019. We are excited to provide this opportunity to talented graduate students across the country year after year.

The multi-collegiate and interdisciplinary atmosphere that the MGRS offers is not only a benefit to the graduate students at the University of Toledo, but to the entire academic community in the Midwest Region. Learning from each other means understanding the rest of the world. Innovative ideas do not stop at institution’s borders, nor do opportunities for collaboration and competition. To thrive in today’s complex and high-paced social landscape, students having various scholastic background need to interact with and learn from each other.

Scheduled events include oral and poster presentations, professional development workshops, and will conclude with complementary dinner and a keynote address by Dr. Charlene Gilbert, a distinguished Professor of Film from College of Arts and Letters at the University of Toledo. We are expecting growing number of guests that includes presenters and judges from more than 20 universities and approximately 500 attendees for this year’s symposium.

Online registration is currently open and will be free to all students until March 10th, 2019. This year’s symposium once again offers several competitive awards sponsored by the University of Toledo GSA and a variety of other organizations. We strongly encourage that interested graduate students to register as a presenter. We are also offering a limited number of registration spots for undergraduate students to showcase graduate studies and research.
