Gail Robertson received a University Distinguished Fellow to study euphonium performance at Michigan State University. She has performed in many nationally recognized brass ensembles as a euphoniumist. She was one of the founding members of the Tubafours, a group based in Walt Disney World. She also performs with The Athena Brass Band, Keith Brion and his New Sousa Band, The Brass Band of Battle Creek, and SymbiosisDuo.

She studied at MSU under Philip Sinder, DMA. Prior to coming to MSU she received a BA from the University of Central Florida in 1987 and an MM in 1989 from Indiana University, both in euphonium performance.
