The Graduate School welcomes Meseret Negash as our first Director of Development.  Meseret received her BA from James Madison College, her MA from the College of Communication Arts & Sciences, and her Executive MBA from the Broad School of Management. 

With over 16 years of leadership experience, Meseret leaves the James R. Jordan Foundation International in Chicago where she served most recently as Managing Director of Global Strategic Partnerships. With a breadth and depth of interesting experiences that lend themselves exceedingly well to this position, Meseret is a proven strategic thinker who has a successful track record working with high-level donors and volunteers. 

Meseret will be charged with developing, leading and providing strategic direction to an advancement program that will include major gift fundraising, leadership annual giving, and alumni engagement.  She will work closely and collaboratively with MSU’s 17 colleges as well as with the regional team to serve as a resource and work with donors who are interested in making gifts directly to the Graduate School or wish to designate their support to graduate education elsewhere at MSU.
