This was an incredibly challenging year for all of us in graduate education: graduate and graduate-professional students, faculty and academic staff, and administrative and support staff across our many departments, colleges and also in the Graduate School. We have encountered challenges and hardships in so many different ways, at work, and at home, and also at work at home!

I have been truly impressed by many displays of resilience and creativity and also compassion and understanding. I wish all of you restful days as this year comes to a close and we anticipate welcoming a better New Year that is bound to bring new opportunities.
