MSU AGEP Learning Community will feature Dr. Christine Grant (NCSU, NSF). Her presentation, “Culturally Responsive Mentoring” will focus on skills on how to build a research team and current research trends around mentoring. Dr. Grant will bring her years of experience as Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular engineering at NC State and Associate Dean of Faculty Advancement. A recipient of the AAAS Mentor Award and the NSF Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Math and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM), Dr. Grant has been recognized for broadening the participation, promotion and retention of underrepresented minorities (URM) and women in STEM.
