The stipend is to support one student for the 2027-2028 academic year who is enrolled in a Michigan university or college pursuing a doctoral degree in a mental health field specifically focusing on a practice that will serve children and adolescents in behavioral health. The recipient will be selected by June 4, 2027.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- The applicant must be enrolled in an American Psychological Association accredited doctoral program in psychology at a Michigan college or university on a track to becoming a Licensed Psychologist
- The applicant must intend to practice in the areas of children and adolescent behavioral health
- Preference will be given to students who intend to practice in Michigan after graduation
- The applicant ideally maintained a 3.0 undergraduate grade point average and maintains a passing grade throughout their doctorate program
- The applicant is preferably at least 30 years of age
Applicants must submit completed application along with transcripts, two letters of recommendation, curriculum vitae, and an essay not exceeding 1,000 words which addresses the following topics:
- Your motivation and/or goals for pursuing a degree in pediatric and adolescent mental health.
- Your experience serving children and adolescents.
- Your post-graduation plans and clinical practice plans.
