Dissertation completion fellowships (DCFs) allow doctoral students to devote full time to writing the dissertation with the goal that the dissertation will be completed during the semester of the fellowship.

The expectation is that the student who receives a DCF will:

  1. receive adequate support to make substantial progress on the dissertation
  2. complete their degree within a year of receiving the award
  3. not accept other University funds above a 1/4-time graduate assistantship without the written permission of their college dean's office.

DCFs do not include student health insurance or tuition/fee waivers.
