Fall 2013 Graduate School Welcoming and Resource Fair
You are invited to attend the annual orientation program for NEW and RETURNING graduate students of Michigan State University.

Opening Remarks at 10AM: Speakers from the Graduate School and the Council of Graduate Students will welcome all new students to Michigan State University and provide an introduction to the Graduate School’s Career Success website and PREP (Planning, Resilience, Engagement, and Planning) career and professional development program as well as to the Center for Academic and Future Faculty Excellence (CAFFE). Early career planning and strategic professional development are essential to completing graduate school and achieving positive career outcomes. PREP helps students plan and think strategically about the types of professional development activities they need to be engaged in throughout graduate school to meet their career goals. CAFFE provides a set of professional development activities to prepare graduate students for academic careers. Both programs, under Career Success (, help students take a proactive approach to assessing their professional development needs, explore resources, create professional portfolios, and generate individual development plans.

Resource Fair at 10:15will include student organizations, campus groups and community businesses – all ready to provide you with valuable information!
